1. U) Second Award for
has -beeen name runner-up for the "Government Recruiter
of the Year" award for the 1977-78 academic year by students of
Bowling Green State University. The top award in the government
category was made to a representative of the Internal Revenue
Service. One runner-.up award went to a representative of the
Social. Security Administration; the other to Other
aw,a1rds were ma.de in the categories of Business and Education.
Last year was honored as the recipient of the 25X1A
"Government Recruiter of the Year" award from Bowling Green
State; however, the top award is not given a second time to the
same individual.
2. (C) Response to Ad: The number of responses to the
recent ad for Medical Officers has now reached 87. This is a
heavy response from applicants generally considered to be in a
"shortage" category. Several resumes have been received from
psychiatrists, one from a periodontist, and one from a former
25X1A Agency Medical Officer who had served in A physician
from York, Pennsylvania who is affiliated with the Office of
Medical Services has expressed interest in a staff position
and application forms have been sent to him.
3. (C) Retirement Activity: The figures shown below
depict the total retirement activity for the period 1 January
through 30 June 1978. The figures in the clear show totals. The
figures in parentheses represent persons who have opted for
discontinued service or "involuntary" retirement; the figures
in parentheses are included in the total figure. Thus, of 210
persons to depart by 30 June, 89 are going under the "liberal"
options.

COMING EVENTS:
(1). (U) Awards Ceremony: On 7 June at 1145 hours an
Awards Ceremony is sc iheduled in the Director's office.
, the Consolidated Fund Campaign Chairman, will present
the gency's Merit Award Plaque to the Director. The Director,
in turn, will then present the office Merit Award Plaques to
representatives from O/DCI, O/NFAC and O/DDSIT. The plaques
are in recognition of exceeding 100% of their goal.
(2). (U) Educational Aid Fund: The Educational Aid Fund
Seh ction Committee will conduct its first meeting on 6 June; 116
applications are ready for review.
