Q: What are the requirements for entrance into a medical school? A: Four years of elementary education; completion of eight years of lyceum (high school and pre-medical) with a passing grade in state administered examinations Sufficient to earn a baccalaureate degree either in the arts or the sciences; and a panning grade in a competitive examiniation for enltrance into the medical school. A: Given equal grades, the authorities will prefer the sons of laborers and peasants to all other candidates. This is a consequence of the Communist administration. 5. Q: What are the requirements for graduation? A: A student is required to pass each of the courses listed above with a grade of six or better. Six would be the egkaivalart of s C under the US, school system. Examinations are written and oral rr oral only. In addition, the student must pass a practical examination in all of the clinical courses. Upon successful co,;tletion of all the courann with the proper pe,ssing grade, the' student, prior to 1946, became- an "Absolvont in Medicine". As such he-qualified to prepare a pelf-selected thesis upon which he wprked for several months. When completed the thesis was defended before -a board composed of the medical school's faculty.
