1. Compania Cubana de Aviacion S.A., (Cuban) has leased three old type Constellations
(0491x) from ra US airline. These three airplanes will be delivered to Cubans
according to the following schedule one on 7 June, the second on 15 July, and thei,
third on 15 Aug 53.
flight training on 7 Jun 53 with the delivery of the first airplane. A second
group will start ground school on 8jJuly and flight training on 22 Jul 53. In all;
four complete flight crews will be trained.
3. ^'h? control of Cubans now rests in the bands of Mr Jose Lopez Vilaboy, a capitalist.
..o of his known enterprises are: he is owner and director of eattana, a daily
newspaper, and President of Companies de Aeropuertos Internacionales, SA. Be is
not a member of the Board of Directors of Cubans, but Mr Eusebio Delfin Figueroa,
a banker and head of a principal lending institution, Is considered to be his
creature.
2. Cubans will utilize five man flight crews on these airplanes. The flight crews
will consist of a pilot, first flying officer, second flying officer, flight en-
gineer (upgraded from co-pilot) and a flight mechanic (upgraded from a ground
mechanic). Ground school training with / US airline7 will start on 25 May and
