3. Hhenever inexpensive trepanning lathes appear on the market they are use an
reconditioned machines originating in the "Bundesgebiet". There Ore still la number
were used prlaaarily for toe , production of detonators.
2. The well-known company, Schilling &Kraemer, was recently requested by the Soviet
Zone government to res,n++e the bv._lding of rifle barrel boring lathes, which it
formerly built. After receiving Ihelrequest, Mr Schilling escaped into West Berl

5. It is suspected that trepanning lathes are being produced at the Becher plant in
Kirchmoser. Becker used to: be a very large plant for the production of railroad
equipment, and was located in Brandenburg. It bvd expandod its facilities for war
work. It io impossible to ascertain', whether or not the lathes it produces are
exported from there to foreign countribut it is suspected that this is the case.
