Two floating cranes, one 75 ton, the abhor 40 ton, were observed unloading cargo (buses) from a nearby ship. Dredging operations were noted in the vicinity of wrecks which have been removed. Road from Gdynia to Gdansk was described as a dual high- way, i.e., two auto roads separated by a strip of grass and by trolley tracks, pier and wareuouse on French Quay were in good con- dition but needed cleaning up. Two electric lO..ton cranes were located at this Quay, one of which was inoperative. Dredging was noted near now pier: construction (exact location unknown) in prohibited anchorage; edge was of vacuum type. French Quay has eight to ten cranes of three to five tens capacity each. Polish Qua has about fifteen cranes. All the quays are equipped with electric cranes.
