Dr. who was previously mentioned L as being
interested in the development of a carcenolytic extract derived
from herbs by native Indian doctors, is presently in the US working
on this problem. Dr. /-see paragraph 6, - who was
expelled from the National Institute of Hygiene in Peru and who had the
sole contact with the Indians which made this extract available, is
no longer cooperating in this work. Since the extract was no longer
available it was feared that the source was lost but Dr.
has isolated a yeast or mold which is an antibiotic and from which he
has been able to produce the active chemical. T'te results of hi:s
efforts will probably be published in the US when his results have
progressed sufficiently.
