A new anti-Tito' Communist clandestinelibroadcasting station, apparently of
considerable power, was first intercepted on 5 August 1949 at 21000 fD~"i' on
erectly the same frequency as Radio Bela sae's aho*t?-wave transmitter, 6100
kilocycles. Al few seconds before Radio Belgrade began the rel of its final
newscast of the evening, a woman was heard to announce in Serb Croat, "This
is !the Radio Station of the Yui~oelav Revolutionary Emigrants." She went on
to nay that tho broadcast would include extracts from an article entitled,
The Tito Clique is Stabbing the Democratic Meek Army in the Back," an
article attacking the Atlantis: Pact, and news from the People's Republics and
T4goslav emigrants in Rumania. The fifteen minute broadcast, which almost
completely blotted out Radio Belgrade, closed with the announcement that the
next broadcast would be tomorrow at the same time, followed by the ,slogan,
"Forward-Under the Banner of InternationalirFor Socialist Yugoalavia?" (a
phrase coined from the titles of Yugoslav Comiaform papers published in Sofia,
Bucharest and Moscow respectively).
The station wan heard on its announced schedule on 6 and 7 August, but the
frequency was adjusted to 6110 kee, making* it possible to monitor Radio B.l rade
without interference o
