NIFRODUCTIOM Or THIS FORM IS PROMISITID. 25X1' THIS IS UNEVALUATED INFORMATION The! following information was monitored from Berlin, Deutschlandsender (USSR Controlled) broadcasting inGerman to', Germany on 13 March at 2230 GMT: The Director General of Broadcastingin the German Democratic Republic announces: "In accordance with the frequencies allotted under the Copenhagen Plan in 1943 the radio in the German'iDemocratic Republic will broadcast over the following wave lengths as from March 15th 0200: Berlin Radio 782 Kcs. 383.1 metres and 1570 Kcs. 191.1 metres. Deutschlandsondar: for the time being only over the short waves 7150 Kcs. 41.96metres and 6115 Kcs. 49.06 metres. L.,eipzig 1043 Kcs. 237.5 metres and short wave 30.83 metres. Dresden 1484 Kcs. 202.1 metres. "The regional transmitters Potsdam, Schwerin, Halle and 'Weimar will close down pending adjustment to the international common wave 202.1 metres. The Director General of B^oadcastin- asks listeners to be patient about any difficulties in reception that mi'h t at first arise. :very effort will be made to elimi- nate them,. Observations on reception are welcome and should be forwarded to the above mentioned stations or the office of the Director General of Broadcasting.
