The Taipei broadcasting station, "Voice of Free China" announced in
Mandarin on 1.Ionday 5 February 1951 at 05:15 GMT:
"Taipei--Mrs Cooke, wife of Admiral Cooke,, former commander
of the United States Pacific Fleet, now inlTaiwan representng
the United States International Nlevrs Servi, .., has accepted the
request of the Taiwan Broadcasting Station!to broadcast regu-
larly to the United States through the "Voice of Free China"
on every 1Uonday from 12r30 to 12:45 FM (Taiwan tim editor)'
