a. In the first half of July- 1953, the TFA Blechverformungs-und
!Carosspriewerk at Leipzig manufactured 35 tank trucks and four trailers.
b. The plant also produced mufflers and small body parts for the 1FA Works
at Halle and the FP' Works at ?isenach.
a. The f[etriebebau Wezel, Leipzig has c'Nsed manufacturing heavy gears
for armored vehicles of the Volkspolizei, and instead is engaged on an
order received early in July l'e53 for 600 heavy gears for export to
China. The order will occupy the rlant until the end of this year.
b. At the same time it was announced that vehicle parts (differentials and
shafting) had to be delivered to the T'A Fahrzeugwerke, which also has
received orders for large deliveries of heavy vehicles to China
running to the end of the year. In addition, abcut 80 to 90 light gears
are being currently manufactured monthly for the 1FA Works.
c. The plant has also turned out 25 or 30 continuous drive gears for an
unknown purpose. Their main value is for heat resistance.
d. Rolled steel is delivered as formerly by the VPs Getriebebau at
Kirschau, near Hautzen.

3. SAO .;irimow, Leipzig.
a. The SAO l:irimow (formerly Unruh & Liebig), Leipzig, is currently building
six very heavy drop-frame railway cars. The wheel and axle sets are
delivered by the Radsatzfabrik 11--enburg at Hbrz,
b. During the month of July, six anchor winches were delivered to the Neptun
eh.pyard at :Rostock.
c. Current orders for the USSR concern mainly mining machinery and ship's
equipment for high seas ships. Swinging cranes are also being manufactured
for the Soviet Union, in all probability a.ao for use on ships.
d. An order from the Volkepolizei for a number of balloon winches and for
60 gun mounts has been returned.
