It is difficult to make contact with persons working in the plant, but the
following data on products was secured:
Section 1 makes xylyl )romid4,bromoacetont, bromethylmethylchetohe ?,LBic- probably
brometnylecotone and choloactonerbenone ~gio-probably chloraootoplenont.7
Section 2 makes dipbenylaminechlor..arsin4,diphenylcyanarsine and diphenylohloroarsine.
Section 3 :hakes unknown products.
Section 4 makes chlorine, phosgene and cnlorpicrin
Section 5 probably makes mustard gas.

1. There is a factory two km south of Deva, called Polychim Fabrics, which is
supposed to make shoe polish, metal.scouring products and,insectieides, but is
really engaged in producing war gases.
2. The factory is a branch of the Sovromchim and has some 350 workers. The head is
a Soviet engineer named Sttepenoy. The leading Rumanian director is Dumitru
Mocioran; under him are engineers Vasile and Grigore Bitunzly.
