1. There is a Soviet airfield at 'ielzow, near Kottbus, whose field covers an area
of two hectares and has a runway 1,200 meters long.
2. The field contains 36 splinter-proof shelters for jet bombers. The shelters
are 3.5 meters high by 16 meters wide and 10 meters long. They are camouflaged.
3. Stationed at the field at the present time are 36 jet bombers, and six jet
fighters; also two battalions of the Soviet Army, one of which is a motorized
searchlight battalion, There are also 12 motor vehicles and one Stalin organ
rocket launchers and a half-division of Volkapolizei from Weimar.
