)~. The transmitter accessories department of the RFT Funwerk Erfurt manufactures
quartz crystals of the types Qs i-5 and Hs 3 at the rate of about 25,000
pieces per month. They are mainly delivered to plants in the Soviet Zone which
make transmitters and measuring and similar technical transmitter equipment.
The Qs 2 series is rated for a frequency of 7000 kilohertz (kHz.). About 60,000
of these crystals have been delivered directly to the Soviet Zone. Production
difficulties attend the fabrication of the light metal rings in which the
crystals are suspended.
2. The transmitter tube department manufactures mainly tubes for the Red Army
and the Volkspoiizei. Two types; RL 12 P 10 and RL 12 P 35, are the
principal ones produced at the present time. About 12,000 of each type are
4 produced monthly. Anode plates and wire for grids and heating filaments
come from Federrtl Republic in all probability.
