The regiment is part`cul:rJy well equipped with trucks, jccts, imbulnrices, heavy

Instruction. Technical training begs s in Jan. In May 1011'S about 200 re erv:s :;
joined the regiment, and in Ar L195 these were promoted to NCO rank.
6. The commander is Lt. Col. Sarosi, 45 years old, a tall strong man, 3 convinced
Communist, but: not a bad fellow. Commander of the 4th Battalion is Capt. Janos
Caoti, 40 years old. Political officer is Sub-Lt. Jonas, a good speaker and

The service is very hard and discipline is strict. Morale is not good; most
of the men say they continue in service not because of political conviction,
but because their training has prepared them for no other life than the military.
Food is generally very good, with coffee for breakfast, meat daily at noon except
on Mondays, tea or coffee in the evening, with sausage, bacon, cheese or a good
portion of vegetables.
