Radar observation in northern Norway reports that there have been frequent instances in which plotted aircraft appeared to come to a full atop, then resume flight on the former course and speed. It has been suggested that these represent helicopters or unusual speed. 2. One very clear plot is of special interest. The aircraft started southwest of Murmansk and headed out to open sea on a northeas* course, then suddenly stopped. The speed was very high, about 1,000 k?s per hour. After a stup of five minutes the aircraft resumed on the sa.'e course. Before the plotted plane started, there had been some activity from other fields, but during the plotted flight all other air activity ceased, indicating that it may have been an experimental flight. 3. Experiments in radar jamming have also been reported from this area. 25X1 25X1 25X1 574T!
