1. ;n alleged fishing fleet, based on Odessa, is now engaged in special
training reported to include both radar training and even atomic
experiments. The latter, if they really are being conducted, must be
of a very simple kind. It is even reported that these vessels am
training for the Antarctic; however, the Black Sea is n very queer place
for training of that sort.
The fleet operates under the name ":;lava," i.e. , ',(,;jury. 11 it includes
tWI-1 Ves e1s equipped :rich radar and what are reported to be "atomic
labor3tor.1cZ! Other vessels in the fleet are equipped with landing
platforms for helicopters and for small submarines. All these vessels
are armed.
The fleet: commander is Capt31r. S-olannik. The attached political officer
Is Comrade Boev. The Sailors are specially
