TO REPORT NO. 25X1 1. Officer Cadet Too Kai nu, -r.d r-:_dta mechanic Chin Pao Tsun, defected from Formosa to Red Db1n, in plane on -18 Dec 51. 2. They brought with them written reports on the state of affairs on the island and for fourteen days they were carefully examined by officers of Chinese intelligence and Russian specialists. The majority of the questions were designed to elicit information about how well Chiang Yai-shek was prepared for an attack on the main- land. 3. The two defectors said they were compelled to go to Formosa in 1949. They declared that all military materiel on the island came from America without payment.
