1. A general inspection of Czechoslovak Artillery is being held in the Olomouc
area in- Moravia. An '?nportant Soviet military mission, neaded by Marshal of
at least one Csechczlovak regiment will be armed with the rsw gun.
3. There is at present such a regiment at Jihlava, in the CeskoAorave]oa vysooina
area. At present there are being built at Jihlava ramps for launching guided
missiles, but the work has not been progressing satisfactorily, and General
of Artillery Beneg was recently relieved.
Artillery N. I. Nedeliri, took part in the inspection.
For the first time the Czechoslovak artillerists tested the new Soviet heavy
gun, provisionally designated ZIOr. The gun is the most powerful now available
to the Soviet Army, but no decision has yet been reached on the question of
assigning such pieces to the Czechoslovak Army. it is, however., expected that
