held in last Berlin with the Dresden building union.. In addition, the
building waterial stored in Senftenberg and Bautsen and only recently
released has been requisitioned again. These building activities will
concern Brandenburg and Saxony especially.
2. New building activity is observable at N.rdhausen, where V-2 rockets were
formerly manufactured. Trucks loaded with building material travel to
the underground works. According to workmenls statements, three large
exhausters were installed In the period from 6 to 15 Jan 54. The works
l1en 104 meters underground, and 36 of the 41 cross-galleries are already
in usable condition. The entire reconstructea underground area covers
about 135,000 sgaare meters. A few or the galleries are shut oft and have
been guarded by Soviet soldiers since the end of December 1953.

3. The Soviet troops stationed at the Tramps training grounds (Kreis'
Mberswoide) are not eagaging in maneuvers, but appear to hz-ve taken
up winter quarters there. They have 93 vehicles and a iarve number of short-
