The "Georgi Dimitroff" vorke at IkIzdeburg (formerly Buckau-Wolf) shipped out the following eight engines in April 1954, two of which had been mku'4factured in March: Three 80 hp. marine Diesel engines went to the Rosslau-Elbe shipyard; foue trf;Andard Diesels were delivered to Rostock, consigned to Poland, a 1500 hp. Diesel was for the Soviet Union. Arx 800 hp. type 205-D'engine which was . b,eilt for-the DSU (Deutsche Schiffahrts.-und Vlasehiag Zentrale) was delivered to Frankfurt acz dsr.Onasr. Its further destination is unknown? 2. The material situation in the plant is bad. There are continuing shortages of high grade.steel and bearing material. Attempts to make bear.'.ngs of a duraluminum-like netal were failures. 3. Eleven engines for the Seepolizel were to have been built in June and July 1954, but the order has been returned because the. material is.not available, and also because the Soviet Urd-x- is calling for more marine Diesel engines.
