Class I Supplies
There was a former German flour mill and bakery in Neu-
st.rel i t.,7. i.7hi_rth L1A4 used as a bakery and bread storage point
for all units of the 9th Guards Tarp: Division. The 17th,
33rd, 47th, 50th and 65th Regiments and other subordinate
units of the division picked up bakery products there daily.

9th Guards Tank Division but it may have serviced other units
the underground ammunition depot of the 9th Guards
Tank Division in Neustrelitz is located about two
kilometers north - northeast of the outskirts of the town.
Rocket, mortar, artillery and howitzer shells were kept
at the depot. this depot serviced units of the
(NZ - Nepr cosnover_nye Zapaay) located in a large brick
building adjacent to the bakery. Flour products such as
here, sup osedly for combat use.

Mechanized Army was located approximately one kilometer
south of the railroad station in Fuerstenberg (5209N-1441E).

A guard detail of enlisted men from
various subordinate units of the 9th Guards Tank Division
was on 24 hour duty. They were billeted there while on duty
and no other enlisted men or officers -! ived there. The
commanding officer was attached to the Headquarters Staff
of the 9th Guards Tank Division and lived in Neustrelitz

The above figures are for peacetime training, and according
to statements of some officers, for the first blow in combat
action. After that time, a continuous flow,or as much as
is required for offensive or defensive action would come
to the regiments and subordinate units from the USSR via
