SECRET/SECURITY INFORMATION
-2-
The building was rather small and, like other oblast city ware-
houses, was not on the scale of an army warehouse. It was two
or. three stories high, of dark grey brick, and occupied the
space of one-quarter of a city block. A pass was needed to enter.
Because of its small size, it might be only one part of a
larger establishment, although there was nothing to indicate
that- other.branohes existed.
S. I do not recall whether the warehouse was under political
control. If it were, I believe it would be subordinate to the
Ministry of Health.
6. I heard also of a military medical warehouse. which was located
outside the east section of Sverdlovsk, completely isolated from
civilian dwellings and well" guarded. This .military warehouse
was staffed with a garrison of its own, which, although not
attached to a division, was "subordinate" to a division.
