However, this unit exists only on the top level of organization. Below thin level, the unity is 'hzotev, and '.te variouo services have s^.parate quartermaster corps. The th r*r.e' of command operates as follows. 2. Ached :?c the Defense Cozmittee of the USSR is the chief of the quarter- master service. General of the Army Khrulgy. All the mpterial resources of the country needed for the i rter' ster's supplies are under his juris- diction. Rhrulev has o. had under him an agency called the air. Adnainis- tr ti_n of C-,,-,V; vhich is divided into a mmnber of '1-.trations. Thin administration ircludes: Uprodsnab, (Sub-Administration of Food Supplies), which deals with the people's commissariats of agriculture, meat and dairy induct 7, and other cc issariats cone-irnnd with food ou p1',,tt'The main administration includes also sub??a inicY scions for clothing, -eranejc- t supplies, kitchens, kitchen iaventory, tarpaulins, tents, strete:hers, t ld hospitals, and other property. There is a sub- administration for fuel end lubricants ct+.lledGSM, and sevxral other such sub-administrations. 'fire are also special supply diva slogs for the ground forces, the navy, and the air force, which e"e also completely subordinated to the chief of the mein administration. 3. These separate supply sections handling specific caiegcries of supplies receive reports on the receipts and expenditures of quartermaster supplies from the quarterstere at the front, or it r-flitary districts. It is only in the Supply Adtinistration that the unity of the quartermster service exists. .Rack of the major services maintains separate quartermater corps; organized in accordance with their specialties or branch of service. Sep- arate quartermaster corps exist for the ground forces, the navy, and the air force.
