2. It is necessary to keep in mind that when the work-load is increased, as a result of
groat influx of patients, convalescent patients (EM and NCO's including NVSgt's) are
utilized for such work as they can perform.
3. Each Air Army (VA) has such a Hospital with facilities to care for from 500 to 700
patients during peace time. In times of war, however, the facilities can be i,noreased
to correspond with the increase in the T/O & l; of the Air 4rsW. When the Hospital
becomes filled to capacity, the ground crew EM and NCO's are transferred to the nearest
Array Hospital which is located within the territory of the Air Army concerned. It
is also necessary to keep in mind that patients so transferred to the Army Hospital,
remain finder the ucisdiction of the Air Army Hospital whieh, in turn, is subordinate
to the .VA. M).
