OF PAGES 2 THIS IS UNEVALUATED INFORMATION 1. Q. What training did you have in the use of air navigation; ilota6e, approach and landing charts? P A. All Pilots in the Polish Air Force were taught to fly with the aid of a map rather than radio. This training was continuous. Approximately ten hours during the course were devoted to instrument instruction. Approach and landing charts had to be drawn by the individual pilot. A group of pilots were driven in the vicinity of an airfield and upon return had to prepare approach and landing charts. As an aid in preparing these charts the following information had been given: length of runway, obstacles, and direction of rur ay, P1any hours were spent in preparing approach and landirz charts. Pilotage charts were studied during courses in navigation. All charts were classified "secret" and target grid charts were classified "top secret". 20 Q. What scales were the air navigation and approach and landing charts which you used? Who published them; about what dates were they; did they seem to be kept up-to?datej how accurate were they; what classification did they carry? A. The charts ere drawn up to the following scales: 1 to 500,000 - most extensively used 1 to 1,000,000 1 to 25,000 - used for terrain study. 3. Q.
