The Caeohcelovak Woodworking Plants state enterprise, fulfilled its
two-year plan assignments in November 103.14 percent, vrhioh Teas an in-
provement over October (under 100 percent). The plan was fulfilled 112.4
percent in the Czech Provinces, but only 76.2 percent in Slovakia (mainly
due to a shortage of round timber and deliveries of raw materials).
Individual state enterprises fulfilled their two-year plan in November

In accordance with an order of Julius Dus!,e, Minister of Agriculture, the
state forests and farms have permitted farmers to rake forest litter, to out
cut grass in undergrowth, and to extract turf for litter. The farmers have
taken a total of 328,350 cubic maters of litter. This represents a sum of
7,800,000 crowns. In the spring of this year, 25,000 quintals hectares s substitute
fodder and litter ware sold to farmers. Furthermore, 7,300
for harvesting were given to farmers merely for the uxpenee involved. The
harvest from these lands amounted to 51,100 quintals of hay.

The wood industry has already fulfilled -its entire two-year plan. Only
two plants have not done no. they are the Ligmam Plant in Bodonin, an&
the pleat in Thrany, Slovakia. The situation. In the wood industry war
especially difficult. Before leUruary only 80 plants with 14,000 employees
had been nationalized, which amounted only to abort 23 rereent of the capacity
of 0he entire sector. This ware of private and poorly operating plants }-+d to
be put tinder now management and joined to the state enterprise of woodworking
plants, which required hard work.
