The Minister of Agriculture has loaned 300 million lei to the "to
for the purchase of bulls, rams and boars to improve the stook and for the
construction of communal stables. Up to 1 December l946, 4,600 bulls,
5,075 rams, 2,500 *we of the curly-haired type,and 1,400 boars have been

stables have been built. In 1949, it is planned to buy 10,000 bulls and
3,000 boars.

A nursery for fruit and other tress has been created in Delon! Commune,
Botosini Jot, on land which once belonged to Nicolas Polish, a rich land-
owner. One hootars has been planted with chestnut, beech, and mirabellr
plan. The nhriwry hue received 6,000 kilograms of acorns and 100 kilograms
of beechnuts.
The State Collection Commission has decided to extend the ties in which

The Depart: of Agriculture will give special 15-day courses to 6,500
agricultural agents and 3,500 veterinary agents. The courses will start in
January 1949 and will include lecttree on diagnosis and treat snt of animal
diseases, stock-breeding, and cultivation of fodder. These oouress will be
attended by both groups &1d there will be special courses in the various
fields.

school throughout the copmtry. The enrol3asnts at the various schools is
as follow: at Dauebraveni, Tarnava Mica Jmdet, 50; at Caspulung, Maaosl
Judet, 44; at Titu, Dsmbovita Jmdet, 74; at Blaj, 12. The state will pay
all expenses of training these pupils who will later staff the beahinery
and tractor atationr, 1 , of Tuloea Judet.
