The Technology Club of the "Mona Stanojlovic" enterprise has perfected three
engines for model aircraft. Next year these engines will be mass-produced for
builders of model aircraft.
GLIDEW MADE IN YUGOSIATIA -- Borba, lio 19, 23 Jan 49
Most types of gliders now flown in Yugoslavia or used to train young pilots
were made in Yugoslavia of domestic materials. Until recently, gliders were
generally imported from abroad or merely assedbled.in Yugoslavia.

In October 1948, two Slovenes, Edverd Cerkvenio and Iraac Tretjak, set a
new endurance record in a 311der flight of 15 hours and 22 minutes.
FXDEI.AL PILOT SCHOOL -- Borba, No 15, 18 Jan 49
Puma -- The federal pilot school, which was founded in 1947, has graduated
three classes of pilots, most of whom have entered the Yugoslav Air Pores.
There will be four times as many students enrolled this year, inolud'og

and pa.wkitists. Many more teachers will be needed for the fourth class. In
addition to dem3biliied pilots, three outstanding students who have just graduated
from the pilot school, two of them women, will be added to the teaching staff.

and 104 Pioneer instructors. The Association equipped 8 model aircraft work-
shops for Its members.
Sixty-tvo glider pilots took part in contests organized in 1948 by the belgrdde
Sports and Boating Association. A glider was built in one of the Association's
three workshops.
CIVILIAN FLYING IN SPLIT -- Borba, No 15, 18 Jaa 49
The Aviation Association in Split built two gliders in 1948, and ton young
people, most of thaw middle-school pupils, qualified as model bu."lders. On 1
February 1949, a course in parachuting acd glider flying will begin, and a course
for model-builders will be given in the model aircraft workshop whioh the Associa-
tion outfitted in 1948.
A glider workshop, where gliders can be repaired and where young people can
learn to build than, will be established at Sind. This workshop aotnally will be
the foundation of a new glider school.
