RAIMOAD STATION REBUILT IN KRUPINA -- Pravda, No 33, 9 Feb 49
The railroad station in $rupina, destroyed during the war, has been
co pletely rebuilt and will soon be opened to the public. Because of the
large aumnt of freight transportation, a new connecting road will be
built. from the freight warehouse to the main road system. Work will
begin a1 ulteneously on the construction of new garages and an adeainistra-
tiem building in Itrupina.
NEW RAILROAD TUNNEL IN SLOVAKIA -- Pravda, No 35, 11 Feb 49
On 4 February, the tunnel on the railroad line between Banovo and
Ticovecwas put into operation, shortening the former distance of this
section by 600 meters. This will effect a saving in traveling time.

The cable railroad on Loamicky Stit was put into operation on 25
January, Its second section, 1,852-meter-long, from Skalnate Pleso to
Immiok,T Stit, was built under difficult wind conditi. .
