Belgrade Srez, for azample, a typical arez of middle-class and wealthy farmers 'ahioh did not have a single farm workers' cooperative in 1948, now has four, in which more than 30 families are enrolled. Fifteen to 20 percent of the middle-class farmers are enrolled in these cooperatives. In the village of Bipan3, where there Is no cooperative at present, a campaign Is in progaoss to establish one. Over 20 percent of the addle-class farmers have already signed up to join. During the last few months, new members have joined at a rate of about 240 per 'v, and at presort there are about 1,560 farm workers' noc?eratives.
