The party included agitators and political speakers, as well ens such outstanding riflemen as Voronenko, a thdrd-year student and record-holder of Belorussian SSE; Tyu!ik, a second- ,fear student end champion of Vitebsk Oblast) Slavovioh, wosms- ski-champion of Belorussian SSR, and others. In villages along the way, participants in the ski march gave reports on the progress of the Soviet Army and on the aims and objectives of DOSABM, DOSAV, and DOBFLOT. NAVAL SCHOOLS HELP LENINGRAD DOSFLOT -- Krasnyy Plot, No 61, 15 Mar 49 Naval schools in Leningrad have been giving active support to DOSFLOT organizations, and have assigned students and officers to serve as lecturers and speakers. Komsomol Students Petrov, Tyurin, Yagodka, and Semin, for example, deliver regular reports before naval groups in Vasileostrovekiy Rayon. Students of the Naval Engineering School imeni Dzerzhlnekiy have organized a navy club in Secondary School No 236. RIGA NAVAL SCHOOL ANNOUNCES COURSE,-- Sovetskaya Latviya, No 63, 17 Mar 49 The Nakhimov Naval School in Riga announces a 6-year course which prepares candidates for higher naval command schools: The school will take only orphans who have lost one or both parents in the vex. Candidates mast furnish the following documents: an application filled out by the applicant; a statement by parent or guardian stating which ;ontagious children's diseases the applicant has had; an autobiography written by the applicant; a birth certifloate.or notarized copy; a reference and report on past performance from the applicant's school; a certificate of fitness for naval service; a certificate of vaccinations; two photographs 3x4 centimeters; information regarding the death of the applicant's parent(s) and on the service and occupation of the surviving parent; certificate showing completion of required schooling.
