percont over 1947 and 29 percent over L94G. Miners of Chernavekiy Rayon pro-
duced 60,000 tans of anal above plan in 1948. The "7ebaykalugol'" Trust, whioh
has pledged to mine 140,900 tone of opal above the plan in 1949, has a]seady
mined mare than 30.9J0 tone above plea in January and Febr?ery. Produotion of

The sum of above-plan profits acoumulated in 1948 amounted to oely 13.5
million rubles instead of the 15 million pledged by the oity'e industry.
Director Fedosov of the Torm Mine pledged Y,o save 554,OO~ rubles bat actually
had 405,090 rubles losses inetebd. Turnover of working oapital la the loco-
motive-repair plant was 117 days instead of the planned 78 dn,Te, and the plant
