THIS IS UNEVALUATED INFORMATION POLITICAL ACTIVITY 10Y CULTURAL MEDIA IN SIIG ILLIIBTRATBD MAGAZ.IAY DISTRIDUTED -- Sinkiang Tih-pao, 21 Mar 49 Three hundred copies of the fifth issue of Sinkiang Culture, an illustrated cultural magazine published in Shang-hai, by the Sinkiang Propaganda Committee, have been sent to Ti-hua to be distributed to various agencies, organizations, leaders, and to each district in southern Sinkiang. A second batch will be shipped to Va-ch'eng (Wu-ehih) to circulate among the people of the different races there. Contents of this issue include pictures of General Chang's inspection tour of various places in southern Sinkiang and general information on the prorinoe's industrial, cultural, and physical cultural activities. The sixth issue. now oa~tug printe' in Shang-hat, will contain repor'.s on iroriauia'. reorganization, ~aimal husbandry, cultural odu,3ation, and, the life hf re,,.gious ri? rice. The Sinkiang Propaganda Committee is expending 350,000 yuat.:,or the oublioatlon of this issue which should be out at an early date. It is reported that K'a-eau- mu-fa Ssu-ma-1 will serve on the provincial council, vhile the appointment of A-k'c=po-erh-fu A-pu-tu-chia-1i-mu has not yet been made effective.
