The Warsaw branch of CBS Spolem (Centrals Spoldzielni Spozywcow, Central
Offioe of Coneueers' Cooperatives) has opened a wholesale clothing and wearing-

The demand for ready-made clothing in Warsaw is great because prices are
reasonable. The price of a fall topcoat made frar good-quality ma,.orial aver-

sers, depending upon the quality of material, -ange from 1,800 to 4,000 zlotys.

Work suits made from good wearing material cell at prices from 1,500 to 2,940

School uniforms for young girls cost approximately 3,700 zlotys.
In addition to the wearing apparel, the Warsaw CSS Spolem will also et-pply
quilts, bed sheets, handkerchiefs, neckties, and shirts. The price of good-
quality men's sport shirts is bAtveen 900 and 1,200 zlotys. A supply of woman 'a
anderwearris also expected soon. At present, CBS Spolem is distributing Heckel
brand son's hate to the store.
Footwear is in good supply in a variety of styles. The price of shoe
leather ranges from 1,800 to 4,200 zlotys per kilogram.

in 1947, the production of imitation leather was 135 tons, and In 1948, 260
tons (127 percent of plan). Daring January and February 1949, production was
over 44 tone. Production for 1949 is planned at 250 tons.
