RRAJ ORGANIZATION F PANDLD
The kre4 organization is proceeding very rapidly. The government
has just decreed that there will be two more directors on the $raj"National
Ccomittees. This makes nine directors on each :.raj National Committee.
The first four., i.e., the director of general internal affairs, the security
director, the financial director, and the planning director, were appointed
at the beginning of the kraj administration of 1 January 1949. Effective
20 January 1949, the duties of the first director were greatly extended.
Three more directors were added on 1 February 1949, an agricultural director,
a technical director, and a directo* of education and physical training.
Effective 15 February 1949 an eomomic director and a director for irternal
trade and fco4 supply will be added.
The duty of the economic director is primarily to direct industry.
The Hf'aj National Co?ittees, through their economic directors, are to
determine the prerequisites for smooth industrial production. The EYraj
National Coemittees are also responsible for artisan enterprises, con-
struction, perfection and rationalization of transportation, the develop-
ment of civil motoring and aviation, and general econacic problems.
