All farce workers' cooperatives in Tugoslavia have completed their pre-
parations for spring sowing. Some began to plant early crops at the end of
February.
This spring 21lgoslaw farm workers' cooperatives will plant more sugar
beets, hemp for fiber, hemp for seed, euaflovers, soya beans, castor beans,
tobacco, and industrial peppers. Cooperatives in Mscedoniu and eoeie in
8sro.govina; Nontenrgro, and Dalmatia 'i11 pleat sore land in cotton than
last res.. Thirteen time more area than last year wi..l be planted in cotton
by Dalmatiou growers this spring.
Cooperatives in Croatia alms will plant over 14,000 hectares of in-
dustrial plants this spring. Many more vegetables will. be planted by co-
operatives in the radiate v',oinity of cities.
All farm workers' cooperatives, including those recently founded, have
been supplied with the necessary quantities of preoleaned and processed seed.
Meet farm workers' cooperatives are short of seed i'otatoes because of poor
organization. Corrects have already been vigced to prevent each a shortage
naat year.

state ft=6 was begun in Slavonia. This year the program will be greatly ex-
panded. Agricultural specialists frog the state farms will give technical
aid to the cooperatives, the state farms vill contribute farm maoh*.nery to the
cooperatives, and cooperative members will help in various farm operations and
onestruction on state farms.
