The first group of tractor plows have cone off the conveyers of the Agri-
cultural Machine Building Plant ineni 0kt.abr'sloaya Revoluteiya. The Odessa
plant was supposed to have produced these plows in th3 second r,=ter, but was
able to de tLis ahead of schedule. All plows :.ill be sent to W118e in the southern
oblasts.

The "Barg i Molot" Plant in Ilbarbor recently put into operatic- 400 stamps,
and mechsni:,ed the nsnufaoture of 61 parts. The rod (stersbnevoy) and
sand?.rytng depsrtmente hove been completely ncobaaised, and spot welding
and electric rivet welding have been introdnee1. The plant now ha; Ili special
and multipurpose metal-catting machines, and 20 asohines have bean changed
orer to high-speed cutting.

Workers of the plant have pledged to lower the labor output in the ienu-
facture of threshing machines by 33 percent, put into operation 300 new stamps,
200 pieces of equipment, and 80 models including 15 multieeat ones; organize
10 assembly lines, change over 30 more machines to high-speed cutting; change
over 20 threshing machine assemblies to spot and electric rivet welding; put
into operation 12 more special and multip'pose machines; meonanize the Manu-
facture of 20 items by pneumatic molding machines; decrease the weight of metal
in a threshing machine by 200 kilograms; and train 1,240 workers in new
specialties.

Workers of "Sibsel'mash" (Siberian Agricultural machinery) Plant have ini-
tiated a pre-l.y competition in Novosibirsk Oblast in which they have pledged to:
Complete the 4 month plan ahead of schedule and increase the output of
agricultural machinery and spare parts 60 percent over the corresponding period
of 1948;
Increase labor productivity by 3 percent over 19448;
m,rtou the prcthwtiom cycle by 5 days on the average for all I.ypee of goods;
Put into operation a series of conveyers and transporters; convert 50
nahines tools to high-speed methods;
Decrease consumption of basic and auxiliary materials by 7 percent;
Complete the 4-month plan of the Novosibirsk Oblast Comuittee vXP(b) for
promotion of spare parts for agricultural machinery by 1 April; and
Ccuplote and put to use 700 square meters of new houstne.

A pre-Wy competition has been spread among ?aporoah'ye enterprises on the
initiative of the "Kenannar" Combine-Building Plant.
Workers at the "tasentmar" Plant have pledged to fulfill the April plan
123 percent to curtail manual labor, and to save 100,000 rubles by efficiency
Measures.
