ShaturskI7 Rayon (Moscow Oblast) workers took part in the electrifica-
tion of rayon kolkhozes as early as 1947. During 1948 they helped electrify
three villages of Tegor'yevskiy Rayon.
1. To help electrify five kolkhozes in Sorobovekiy Rayon by 1 June.
2. To organize mechanized irrigation in five kolkhozee of Shaturekiy
Rayon, installing five electric pumps; a k.5-kilcsiete- transmission line,
and laying a 5.2-kilometer water pipe.
In assuming these obligations, the workers challenged the workers of
enterprises in Orekbove-Zuyevo, Pavlovo-Posed, and NoRinak to competition.

Workers of Baumanakiy Rayon of the city of Moscow have assisted in
completing uniform electrification in 9olokolamskiy Rayon. In response to
the appeal of Sirovakiy Rayon of the city of Moscow they have assumed the
following obligations:
1. To complete, during 1949, four hydroelectric power plants in
Volokolamskiy Rayon including the Nikitskaya, Stromilov, Balyayov, and
Vysoehkovskaya power plants. These are to replace steam-electric power
plants .
2. To equip ten threshing centers not later than 1 July and to ex-
tensive work on electrifying production processes in the kolkhozes of
Volokolamskiy Rayon.
3. To provide radio facilities for not less than 75 percent of the

network for the villages of the Rayon by 7 November.
4. To render maximum assistance to organizations of Volokolamakiy
Rayon in the installation of telephone facilities in the kolkhozes and
public institution.

the electrification of 38 kolkhozes and three MPSa of 7arayckiy rayon. In
answer to the appeal of Nirovekiy enterprises they have assumed the fc?.ow
ing obligations;
1. Tn electrify 47 kolkhozes during 1949 as against a pl-An of 22.
Twenty-two of these kolkhozea are to be electrified before 1 June and 25
before the first of August.
2. To electrify 47 threshing centers by the beginning of the na.-vest
ing season.

ekiy Rayon of the city of Moscow to cciupetition.

in 1948, two hydroelectric power plants were built in Konstantinovskiy
Rayon, Moscow Oblast. Your steam-electric power plants were reconstructed
s4 equipped. Thirty-two kolkhozee were electrified, 17 electric thresh-
ing points were set up, and 2,522 small transformer stations (elektrotochka)
were installed.
Completion of the electrification of the remaining 72 villages in the
.rayon is scheduled for 1949. A 15-kilometer electric transmisson line
will be built betweenSrasnozavodok and Konstantinovo. A substation with
a capaoit~'of 1,800 kilowatts will also be built.
