For better division of responsibility and increased efficiency in the
d!etribution of goods, the Ti-has Cooperative Society has been reorganized.
Three offices and five departments have been created. These and the w-n
dirsotih them are as follows:
Secretariat, Lin Ting-shu; accounting, Chang Chun; examination and
investigation, Wang Mao-oh/un; general affairs, Chiang glo-chia; supply,
Chao Jeng-ting; business, Liu Tn-oh'1; transportation, Eno Tsung-yu; pro-
duction, Chlen Lien -sing.
ZARTSQUAKICS SHAD SINKIANG -- Sinkiang Jih-pao, 10 Mar 49
A series of earthquakes rocked Ten-oh11. Lun-t,ai, and go-? Either
Ho-shah or Ho-ching, both are in the area during late February. The
second tremors experienced by Ten-chli were severe, lasting 4-5 minutes and
causing the collapse of one house and cracks in many other poorly constructed
buildings. There were no casualties.
Most of the quakes at Lun-tlai occurred about 2200 hours. The walls of
many houses caved iu. (tae woman tau crushed to death and three men werA in,tured.
Acocding to a survey, the first vibratioau at Bo-! appeared to have
oome from the northwest and, after a few minutes, moved southeastward. About
2 hours later, slight tremors recurred. There were no casualties or Damages.
