NEW PLANT TO MAC INDUSTRIAL OIL -- Borba, No 80, 4 Apr 49
Machinery io now being inet&.lled In the new factory for the production
of industrial oil from the germ of corn knrnela at Osijek in Slavonia. The
factory in located near the Prva Osjeoka Fabrika Sapuna (First Osijek Soap
Factory), to which it will supply raw materials for making soap. The new
factory is expected to begin production an I July 1949.
The oil factory is located in the immediate vicinity of the corn-growing
district, from which it will obtain its raw material.

On 24 March the Macedonian food-proceaaing industry of republic
aignifibance fulfilled Its plan for the first quarter of 1949 by 136 percent.
By the same date the wood industry had met Its plan IC;.S percent and the
chemical industry 100 percent.
The best results were achieved by the "Tikvee" Alcohol-Processing Factory,
which met its plan for the quarter 327 percent as of 24 March, the "Crven
Piper" (Red Pamper) Pepper Factory at. DJevdjelija, which net Its Flan 134
ppeercent, the, "!'i-&rIn" Factory,-.wh:ich net its plat 137 percent, the ace
Miroev" Talc Faotory 113 percent, 4"; "Cvetan Dimov" Soap Fe.,ory 102 percent,
the "Penleter" Dye Factory 100 percent, and the "Parna" Brewery ICO percent.

The Serbian textile industry fulfilled its production plan for March
by 106 percent and for the first quarter of 1949 by 100.6 percent. Tha
beat results were achieved by the enterprises "Sava Novace'vic" in Vrba:.
126 percent, "&m to Marinkovio" in Novi Sad, 113 percent, and 'Jedtnet -"
In Grdelica, 109 percent. I
