dew coal beds which contain millions of tone of high-grade black coal
were recently discovered in Katowice. Three mines, Deblenako, Radzionkow,
and Eeofas, will exploit the new beds. To reach this coal, the present
shafts at the three mines will be deepened.
The 8zoabierki aim in the Slaek-Dabiowa coal basin, which pleC:ged to
save 70 million zlotys in operating coats during 1949, now_exp cts to ex-
wed this nmo+mt.
Output per man-day during March was 2.9 percent greater then for
January, The first 10 days in April showed u fur'her inoxesse.
Vood consumption in the mines during March has bean reduced by 0.28
cubic w1k-v for every 100 tons of extraction. Reoauae of this, 2 million
zlotg!i have already been saved.
