TRACTOR PARTS PRODUCTION POOR -- Pravda, No 33, 2 Feb 49
Although the Ministry of Armaments fulfilled its plan for the production
of spare parts for agricultural tractors in 1948, the Ministries of Automobile
and Tractor Industry, and of Transport-Machine Building failed to meet the re-
quired production of these parts.
The Ministry of Automobile and Tractor Industry is primarily responsible
for the tractor spare-parts shortage, particularly of parto for the STZ-lATI
tractor. The following plants have been lagging in the production of tractor
spare parts: Omsk "Slbsavode" Plane, Saratov "Serp I Molot" Plant, Stalingrad
Tractor Plant, Kuybyshev Bearing 'taut No 9, Kuybyshev Bearing Plant No 4,
Sverdlovsk Bearing Plant, and Kharkov Bearing Plant.
