Kaganovich fulfilled the first quarter plan ahead of schedule and produced three exca- vators, two automatic cranes, five universal woodworking machines, and 40 tons of spare parts above plan. It released 250,000 rubles of working capital during the first quarter. "AVTC " PLANT COMPLETES QUARTER PLAN: -- Tikhookeanskaya Zvezda, No 77, 2 Apr 49 The Khabarovsk "Avtoremles" Plant, which produces, among other things, floating equipment for timber managements, railroad bolts, and piston tinge, ociplated the first quarter plan on 19 March. In 2 months, the plant gave the State 92,000 rubes in above-plan accumulations. The plant expects to realize in 1949 "a lase than 450,000 rubles in above-plan accumulations and to release 332,000 rubles of working capital to the State. PLANT I1lRIfI KAGANOVICH INCBNAS!S EFFICINNCY -- Tikhoukeanskayo Zvezda, No 82, 8 Apr 49 The Khabarovsk Machine-Building Plant imeni Kaganovich fulfilled the fl-ao.quarter plan 123.7 percent and increased production output 2.3 time over the first quarter 1948. Labor productivity has increased 40 percent over 1948 and the turnover of working capital has been accelerated 38 days. The pleat is now producing one ruble, 92 kopeks of production per ruble of working capital invested, whereas in 1948 it produced only one ruble, 23 kopekI of goods. Costs of finished production have decreased 18 percent more than the level of the first quarter 1948. IKABAROYBK PLANT STARTS PW PRODUCTION -- Tikhookeeaskaya Zvezda, No 71, 26 Par 49 The Khabarovsk Machinery Plant of "Olavvoetokrybtara" (Main Adminiatra- ticn of the Eastern Fish-Packing Materials Industry) recentlq,received an order to produce a large con.ignment of BR-150 fish pumps ad has already completed a large number of them. The capacity of each puivp is 25 tone of fish per hour and each substitutes for 32 workers. The plant also produces gong save, fuel tanlvrd, and equipment for the fishing in(Lustry. 11 ARIBNIAN 4WHIMtY PLANT UY4 PRGF)UCTION -- Kam4uniet, No 98, 27 Apr 49 The Machinery Plant of Yerevan Local Industry fulfilled the first quarter plan 101.8 percent. The average productivity of each worker increased 27 per- cent over the plan, The pleat haw pledged to fulfill the five-Peer Plan in 4 years and is striving to improve production in the second quarter. The workers pledged to complete the April plan 130 percent, to save 5 percent of material and fuel, and increase labor productivity 13 perce.,.
