Agricultural machine-building enterprieec will produce 40 new machines
and implements for agriculture and the timber industry in 1949.
The Iyubertey Plant imeni Ukhtomskiy will manr!acture new types of movers.
One of these, the RS-10, vi''.1 be produced for work in the steppes and will be
twice as productive as the ordinary mover.
The Sibael'mash (Sibe+rlan Agricultural Machine-Building) Plant will bring
out a near :...actor-drain seeder f'Ir planting grain and grass which can sow up
to 15 hectares per 1:ay. The Tashkent Agricultural Mvtcalne Plant will produce
a new vertical-spindle cotton-picking machine, which can do the work of dozens
of workers and will to a large extent solve the problem of mechanical cotton
picking.

The new Eohmiadzin Machine Plant started production at the end of the fourth
quarter 1948. It is equipped with the 1.test machinery and has a machine shop,
foundry, forge, and a. tin welding shop. The plant produces plows and spare
parts far Mows, does all possible repair of agricultural m cb.ines and implements,
and produces metal goods in popular demand. The plant is now preparing to
produce the OX-5 and PPO-23 plows.
The Ehybyehev ?lant imeni Stalin In now producing tractor disk sowers in
addition a its previous production of tractor wheels, gears, and other parts.

The Agricultural Machinery Plant imeni Oktyabr'ekava Revol utelye has
started preduction.of special deep-soil plows for tree-planting ;taticros.
Tests have Indicated the excellent quality of the plows. A considerable
number havealready been produced.

The Hrasnoarmayekaya Shipyard and the. "Krasnyy Metallist" Plant in
Stalingrad have started prod-acing tree-planting machines.
