The April 1949 gross-production plan van fulfilled ill percent by the ,entire
industry of the Estonian 88Y. Production vas 31 percent higher.tbsn in Ap.:il

Individual rrLmiettlav fulfilled the plan for gross production and for
quantity of production for the majority of i* ortant products but failed to meet
quota- for eaaa important goods. The Ministry of Local Indnatry failed to ful-
fill the plan for radio receivers, cotton fabric, metal beds, and plows; in
Administration of Industrial Cooperatives -- brick, furniture, voolen fabric,
aosiery, knitted outer garments, soft leatLar and soap; and Ministry of Shale
Chemical Industry -- briquettes and shale oil.

The spring-saving plan was completed 20 percent as of 10 May by kolkhozee,
peasant fares, and agricultural associations. Kolkhozee alone completed 32
percent of the spring moving plan. The spring-cowing pica was completed 50 per-
centb sorkhozee of the Ministry of State Faroe, including grain. and leguminous
vogetables, 85 percent.

The 1949 second-quarter plan for capital construction was fulfilled 28
percent -in April in all branches of the national economy of the Republic.

and Paper Industry, Ministry of Fish Industry, Main Administration of Automobile

A total of 16,000 equsme meters of ?sousing was ocnstruote& and restored
during it menthe of 1949 by ministries, administrations, local b,,ciets, and by
the population itself with the help of State credit.
