Petroleum workers of the "Azizbekovnoft'" Trust's third oil field completed
the 4-month plan ahead of schedule and have now fulfilled their 1949 obligation
by giving the country thousands of tone of petroleum above the quota. Improve-
ment In the technological process of exploiting oil wells and improvement In
Mork organization have resulted in a 12-percent increase In petroleum extraction
since the beginning of 1949. MD-s than one million rubles have already baen
delivered to the State and labor productivity has risen 5.3 p'lroent.

Petroleum workers of "Kergezneft'" Trust (A:ecbaydzhan) fulfilled their
4-month quota ahead of schedule and extracted thousands of tons of petroleum above
the plan. The obligations vh!.ch they aseamed during the year for eztrao2ing
petroleum above the plan will be net by 1 Juno 1949. Fourteen new oil wells have
been put Into operation since the beginning of 1949.

Workers of Artem Island petroleum fields completed their 4-month quota
ahead of schedule and have already delivered thousands of tone of petroleum
which they have promised for 1949. During 1949 they aim to extract considerably
more petroleum than was plafned for 1950.
"Stalinneft'" Trust pledged to extract ae'eral thousand tons of petroleum
above the plan in 1949 and acccruplished this by Victory Day. During the first
quarter the Trost made a profit of 15 million rubles. The workers have pledged
to extract seAera:. thousand a.ditionai tons of petroleum above the plan by
