11~gealusz Stawineki, Minister of Light Industry, has been notified
tffit the state footwear industry ezceedod'ite 3-year plea far production
of leather footwear on 30 May ig49.
Ths plan estimated the leather footwear production for the 3 years
as 10,600,000 pairs. Ia 1947, the production of leather footwear reached
?3,144,000 pairs, in 19~, 4,938,000 pairs, and in 1949, (room 1 January to
30 9by, 2,810,000 pairs, making a total of 10,892,000 pairs, which ie
100..3 percent of plea. In addition, from 1 January 1847 to 30 May 1949,
the state footwear industry produced 7,689,000 pairs of footwear other than
leather.
Pledges were made by the iadue*sy to produce an additional 4.1 million
pairs of leather footwear during the remaining part of 1849? Stith this addi-
tional production, the footwear. production will ba 138 percent of plan.

The Mate 7enthor Indnetry achieved its production quota far May
117.7 percent. The value of this production at prewar prices ie 26,731,7
Zlotys. This is 162.y percent of the value of the production far the seine
period last year.
