Tien-ohing (Tientsin) merchants have ason inforaed. that foreign trade

now practiced in Tien-ahing. In the future, exporters mast clear exchange
obtained by sales abrcat with the Trade Bureau, Importers may apply to the

According to o ercial circles, the barter system was only a teMorary
ae .sere, ant now that Tien-ohing foreign trade has beoooe normal, it is nbt
unexpected that this sethd is being discontinueed. At present, there are over
70 import-export fir=s in Tien-ching licensed by the Trade Bureau.
