On 6 June, the "Trekbgorrnaya manufaktura" (textile) Combine held
a production conference to conoider methods of improving production and
of converting the combine into a model enterprise. The measures proposed
at the conference will enable the combine in the fourth quarter to achieve
the prewar level in productivity of labor and equipment, to produce 245
percent more first-clash goods than planned, to save 17 tons of cotton
and 3 tons of thread by the end of the year, and to produce 40,000 meters
of unbleached cloth from the sleteriala saved.

The "Caaoaparat" Plant has increased the manufacture of gas equipment
for the population,-and in 6 m&.nthe of 1949 has made more than 35s(= Stoves.
The design of stoves is being improvad. The plant is paring a new
stove with automatic temperature regulation, and is set up for serial mami-
facture of atovee to operate on liquid gas.
