Plants and factories of the city of Yaroslavl' are assisting in the con-
struction of 19 ateem-electric and 43 hydroelectric power plants on kolkhosom.
The state electric power network provides paver to 130 kolkhozes. Industrial
enterprises of Yaroslavl' Oblast have pledged to assist in the electrification
of 1,000 kolkhozes this year.

Rural electrification in Chita Oblast has not yet been sufficiently eapaadedr
to meet the need. The interkolkhoz hydroelectric power plant in Uletovskiy
Rayon, first such plant in the oblast, is now in its second year of operation.
A number of villages have steam-electric power plants, and power lines have been
connected to indudtrial power plants to meet the needs of several kolkhoses.
Utilization of water power resources, in particular, is lagging. In 1948, the
a rvpleLai? Inadequate plan for conatructioa of hydroelectric power plants pro-
posed by the oblmst "8e1'elektro" Office was not completed. In 1949, it gill
be necessary to build six rural hydroelectric power plants, but not one of theme
projector has been started. Plano for electrification of 58 kolkhozes, or which
23 aeast build new steam-zlv:trio plants, have also been delayed, because the
majority of there ko)1bozes have not begun necossary preparations.
